Travel Series: Scribbles & Graffiti – Collaboration with Toka Toka

Hi Guys,

How are you all doing? I have been enjoying my stay here in Baltimore, MD. The weather is so amazing here and had the chance to wear my playful chic print culotte set. TokaToka is a Nigerian brand and offers effortlessly chic pieces. I came across the brand in the new year and I knew I had to get a piece from the collection because it’s suited for my fun personality. As a fashion blogger, getting quality pictures is key so I had to find photographers in the Baltimore area and came across Marqel. Marqel has an amazing personality and made me feel comfortable during the shoot. I loved the slits on the culottes, that was what caught my attention. This brand ships worldwide and the pieces are affordable, you can check out their page below.

Mon Guerlain Launch Event

Hi,

Happy New Month lovelies:)

I attended the Mon Guerlain Fragrance Launch Event in Lagos last week and it was truly an amazing event. I received the exclusive invite days to the event and what caught my attention was the dress code. The dress code was a “Touch of Paris”. I was so excited, thinking of my outfit as I know Parisian fashion is always simple and classy. I am sure you all know my favourite color is Black and I decided to stick to my guts to keep it simple and classy with my outfit. I wanted the understated glam hehe…

Social Media Week Lagos 2017

Hi,

Happy New Month. Don’t get discouraged if you have dreams and still waiting on the big break. In due time, it will come.

I was approached by SpiceTvAfrica to speak on a panel about communicating African Fashion through technology.┬áIt was an insightful session and I learnt a lot from my colleagues Keturah King, Tunde Owolabi, Dami Idowu, Idia Aisien, Onah Nwachukwu and Yegwa Ukpo. African fashion has definitely evolved and making huge waves all around the world. Before, Africa was just seen as a source of inspiration for international brands but now Africa’s local designers are taking ownership of their cultural assets and now playing on the global stage. Social media has been used as a platform to propel African fashion into people’s lives. I am excited for the future of African fashion both in Lagos and out of the continent.
