Travel Diaries – The Ultimate Guide to Fly In Style

I love traveling but two things I don’t look forward to… Packing and Annoying Security Checks. I am entitled to 3 bags when traveling but for a one week vacation, I pack like I’m moving to my destination for a year, Sigh.

I’m going to give you tips on how to pull off a stylish yet comfortable outfit when traveling. Here’s the ultimate guide:

KISS – Keep It Simple, Stupid

Trust me it’s so hard wearing heels and you don’t want to be wearing attention seeking outfits that makes you look tacky in front of the airport crowd.

The foundation should be basic pieces and you can build on them. You can wear denim and pair with a cute top, with a nice scarf and jacket. You can definitely switch the denim for palazzo pants or which ever you feel comfortable in. You can rely on neutral shades like Black, white and nude. I love to play with color to add personality to my outfit. You should pair your outfit with nice sneakers, ballet flats or sandals. Okay, if you insist on heels, make sure you wear block heels, you don’t want a fall accident at the airport especially in MMA Lagos, Nigeria.

Oh don’t forget a pair of sunglasses, a great way to look put together and instantly stylish.

Peek -A-Boo Effect

Cut-out and Crop Tops are definitely trends for the summer season. Shoulder Cut-outs swept the Spring 2016 catwalks, making appearances at Derek Lam, Givenchy, Wes Gordon, Edem, Alessandra Rich and more. Cut-outs makes your outfit look edgy and adds a pop of fun. I personally cannot rock a crop top on its own (belly fat struggles LOL), so I always pair it with high-waisted bottoms.I paired my cut-out crop top with a high waisted pleated midi skirt and black heels. Another signature makeup to complete the look.

Cut-outs allows you to show little glimpses of skin. Did you know that this trend is incredibly flattering for all women? Why? This is because every woman’s shoulders look great. Do you agree?

My weekend was definitely busy and I thought I won’t be able to blog but when you have God and amazing people who show up last minute, then you just have to deliver LOL. I got approached by the designer of The Keeper of the Wardrobe 3 weeks ago and I won’t lie I was shocked (not in a bad way). I was excited because for me, it meant someone loves my style and feedback that I’m doing something right. I have to say I love her pieces and the  artistic vibe from the brand.  I have gotten to know her a bit more and I have to say she’s amazing, talented and a hardworking person. These attributes are definitely translated to the pieces and you can’t help but fall in love with the brand.

I am wearing a green lace crop top and a fringe high waisted skirt. I felt comfortable, happy and sexy wearing this outfit. The slit in front was just the icing to the skirt.  I just kept dancing when I wore the skirt, made me feeling like I could go compete in Dancing with the Stars..LOL

I think I have found my signature makeup look.. Nude lips & Smokey Eyes..Even my mother who complains about makeup was like A+ for your makeup and trust me that’s a big deal.

I definitely feel blessed and can’t wait to show you more outfits from the brand all through the week.

MINIMAL CHIC: WHITE X GREY

How to look Minimal Chic to work? You want to look sleek, classy and comfortable when heading to work. There’s nothing as sleek as pairing whites and greys. I am wearing culottes from Fruche and paired with a classic white shirt from MAJU collection. White shirts don’t have to be boring, the lace detail around the collar and the cut out is a definite WIN for me. I remember getting the sandals two years ago, sleeping in the shoe closet. But today, she definitely came out to play and she made me proud (LOL)…MAJU’s collection is chic and affordable and trust me you don’t have to break the bank to look good.
