I have been on a blogging hiatus for months now and I apologize to my readers. It sure feels great to be back.
What have you been up to? Summer is almost over but there are few activities to enjoy before Fall arrives. I will be doing a blog series on things to do in Calgary. I cannot wait to share all these activities, but first let’s talk about “Taste of Calgary“.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was great. I was filmed on the episode of Style 101 on SpiceTvAfrica (and it was my first time watching myself on TV. I was a tad bit nervous at first but while watching, I felt better. I was watching Ellen show couple of weeks and Samuel L Jackson mentioned he didn’t mind watching himself on the big screen. At the end of the day, its all about finding yourself and your passion. Your passion/dream will bring opportunities you never imagined. I am not where I want to be and all I can do is to keep working hard and enjoy every moment. If you are in Nigeria, You can watch the repeat broadcast episode of Style 101 on Spice Tv Africa, Channel 190 on DSTV (Monday at 8:30pm (+1hr CAT), Tuesday at 9:00pm (+1hr CAT), Thursday at 3pm (+1hr CAT).
What’s happening this weekend? Someone dropped a comment on my Instagram asking me to do a video of how I tie my head wrap. If many people would love me to do the “how-to” video please comment below.
The wonderland sculpture by Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa outside the bow building downtown Calgary. I actually thought it was a man’s face but after doing research, its actually a young girl’s head which is 12metres high. There are two entrances into the head sculpture which enables individuals interact and engage with the sculpture just like getting into someone’s head and get your own interpretation of art.
How was Labor day? Any shopping spree or amazing discounts? Please share!
It’s getting colder by the day in Calgary by the way so I decided to pair my shirt with a waistcoat (scored for 4CAD) , culotte pants (an obsession, lol) and my pink shoes. I really love thrift shopping and finding unique items.
The pyjamas trend is definitely a revolving one and has been seen on celebrities such as Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, Selena Gomez and Jessica Alba to mention a few. Do you believe it took me about 2 weeks to decide if this H&M pyjamas set was worth the buy? As soon as I saw the price reduction to 20 CAD, I literally danced to the cashier (lmaooo). It was a fun and sunny day and I loved every minute of this shoot because I got to meet amazing people.
I visited the Central Memorial Park and I loved the little cafe at the park, BOXWOOD. The cafe is closed for now but will re-open in the fall so you should check them out. I was walking down 17th avenue SW when I came across Gravity Pope, an independently owned boutique carrying designer and handcrafted items. I loved the whole ambiance of the place, the interior decor was definitely detailed and tastefully done. I fell in love with the staff (noknee, such a sweet soul), customer service 8/10 and the outfits blew my mind (especially my new found love jacket). This jacket is definitely on my birthday wish list.
I got a lot of comments about my outfit and most people were shocked to know it was only 20CAD. I have to say this is one of my best buy this summer season. I paired my pyjamas set with gold sandals from zara and my DAPMOD shades.
Happy Tuesday 🙂
