Summer Comeback with Linen

I don’t know if you have noticed but Linen is making a comeback this summer. In past seasons, linen has been absent with the exception of the resort wear category as designers focused on man-made fabrics. Designers are getting braver and using linen with a minimalist approach but creating remarkable designs. For spring-summer 2018, French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus used it in a collection dedicated to his mother. Brock Collection showed the fabric’s Merchant Ivory-esque side in a bateauneckline embroidered dress and Akris upped its luxe credentials with an ecru trouser suit. This summer, look for linen to return to the forefront of fashionability. The fashion audience is embracing its credentials as a natural fibre made from flax plant with an easily traceable supply chain – not to mention its breathability and great texture. Not to mention, linen’s return helps create more sustainable collection as an eco-friendly but luxurious alternative to cotton.

Easter Whites

Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you have been enjoying the long weekend. I have been under the weather but I had no content so I had to get myself up to get more content for the blog. I usually have no easter traditions but I wanted to bring you my Easter whites today. The first time I saw this off the shoulder dress on the rack, I will admit I wasn’t so thrilled about it but in my quest to find the perfect Easter white dress, I decided to give it a go. I was amazed, it was the perfect fit. I have lost weight recently and I’m loving my new body (I have been advised to eat Mcflurry everyday to get my hips back lol).
