I have been on a blogging hiatus for months now and I apologize to my readers. It sure feels great to be back.
What have you been up to? Summer is almost over but there are few activities to enjoy before Fall arrives. I will be doing a blog series on things to do in Calgary. I cannot wait to share all these activities, but first let’s talk about “Taste of Calgary“.

I watched one of my friends start the Gratitude Jar Initiative. Initially, I was like I always write it down. But at the end of the day, I won’t remember to give thanks even for the little things. I decided to join and created my gratitude jar. Each day, when something I’m grateful for happens, I instantly pen it and keep to be deposited into my jar.
This year has started on an amazing note for me. I hope its the same for you readers, if not why don’t you join me in the gratitude jar challenge and trust me you will count your blessings. Encourage yourself and get as many people to join so you can share with someone if you choose to.
Where do I begin? I am most grateful for everything in my life. I am thankful to be alive. I am so blessed to have started my blogging career and I love it. I was scared at first, what would people think? Am I good enough? But realized that everyone starts from somewhere and you keep practising till you become an expert at what you love. I am grateful for the amazing journey thus far, blogging has enabled me to meet amazing people both here and on other social media platforms. I have worked with amazing designers and I say a big thank you for collaborating with me. I appreciate each and everyone of you.
Happy New Month and Happy Independence Day:)
How did you celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day? I went food tasting with my Client for the wedding event in December. After, I attended a concert with Don Moen and other Nigerian Gospel Artists. For anyone living in Nigeria, we are in a recession and people are discouraged and not hopeful. In addition to that, I have been hearing a lot of people losing family and friends. I was encouraged after the concert that despite the circumstance in life, your focus should be on one person “Jesus”.
What’s happening this labor weekend?
Summer is over but the weather has been good thus far. I went to try the famous buttermilk fine waffles in Calgary and I have to say I totally loved it. The atmosphere is totally awesome and you can mix and match any two waffles for only 14 CAD. If you haven’t been and you are in Calgary, check it out.
I wore my moroccan style print set and you can definitely dress it up in different ways. The kimono style blazer was one reason I was excited about this outfit.
