#MadeinNigeria Series: Nigerian Designer Spotlight – Kenny Adelaja

Hi Guys,

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was great. I was filmed on the episode of Style 101 on SpiceTvAfrica (and it was my first time watching myself on TV. I was a tad bit nervous at first but while watching, I felt better. I was watching Ellen show couple of weeks and Samuel L Jackson mentioned he didn’t mind watching himself on the big screen. At the end of the day, its all about finding yourself and your passion. Your passion/dream will bring opportunities you never imagined. I am not where I want to be and all I can do is to keep working hard and enjoy every moment. If you are in Nigeria, You can watch the repeat broadcast episode of Style 101 on Spice Tv Africa, Channel 190 on DSTV (Monday at 8:30pm (+1hr CAT), Tuesday at 9:00pm (+1hr CAT), Thursday at 3pm (+1hr CAT).

LADY BOSS…

Hi Readers,

What’s your definition of a Lady Boss? For me, a Lady boss is a woman who is willing to give without expecting anything in return, A woman who is confident and holds her presence wherever she goes.¬†A woman who is an entrepreneur, who isn’t afraid to take risk and definitely emotionally intelligent. A woman who is fun and knows how to make people around her happy. Lastly, a woman who has a beautiful soul. Please let me know what’s your definition of a Lady Boss. I would love to hear from you.

#MadeinNigeria: Nigerian Designer Spotlight – Osuare

Hi,

I am too excited to share all about this brand with you. When I thought about the #MadeinNigeria series, I came up with the list of brands to feature. I came across Osuare and fell in love with the authenticity in our culture through the hand crafted designs. In this life, growth happens when you move out of your comfort zone and take risks. I contacted them, blogged with the amazing pieces and got to know more about the brand. The brand has been featured in many publications and worn by many public figures.

What do you think about my new hair-do, i wanted something that would complement the  african heritage that oozes out from the pieces. I am wearing a piece from the Unbroken SS16 Collection and paired with pearl earrings and black shoes. This is definitely a piece I can rock to a wedding? Would you?
