How’s your week going? Mine has been so so to be honest. I have been having blah days but looking at how this shoot came out made me smile so I hope it makes someone’s day better.
I came across the brand during LFDW 2016 in Lagos, Nigeria and I loved how she infused Aso-oke (hand loomed cloth woven by Yoruba people of western Nigeria) in the collection. Ladunni Lambo is a womenswear brand and offers classy and sophisticated pieces for the modern day woman. I am wearing a piece from her SS17 collection (here).
As a style blogger, I am now becoming more aware about the brands I work with because there has to be a connection between the brand and my identity. I am highly impressed with this brand because it embodies African culture and modern femininity. I cannot lie I felt confident, sexy and classy (hehe). I really love this piece because of the versatile way to rock it. Ladies, which do you prefer? I can’t decide.
How are you doing? I have been busy taking loads of pictures, just waiting for the official pictures to come out. So for those outfits you have seen on Instagram are coming soon to the blog…please bear with me, thank you ;).
In the meantime, how gorgeous is this dress guys? Head over to my Instagram to find out the behind the scene story. I totally love this dress, puffy sleeves is definitely a trend that’s out to play and I’m falling for it. I love how elegant this dress is and you can definitely wear it to different occasions. The detail has a cut out also, check it out below and a little low back but still conservative.
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was great. I was filmed on the episode of Style 101 on SpiceTvAfrica (and it was my first time watching myself on TV. I was a tad bit nervous at first but while watching, I felt better. I was watching Ellen show couple of weeks and Samuel L Jackson mentioned he didn’t mind watching himself on the big screen. At the end of the day, its all about finding yourself and your passion. Your passion/dream will bring opportunities you never imagined. I am not where I want to be and all I can do is to keep working hard and enjoy every moment. If you are in Nigeria, You can watch the repeat broadcast episode of Style 101 on Spice Tv Africa, Channel 190 on DSTV (Monday at 8:30pm (+1hr CAT), Tuesday at 9:00pm (+1hr CAT), Thursday at 3pm (+1hr CAT).
What’s your definition of a Lady Boss? For me, a Lady boss is a woman who is willing to give without expecting anything in return, A woman who is confident and holds her presence wherever she goes. A woman who is an entrepreneur, who isn’t afraid to take risk and definitely emotionally intelligent. A woman who is fun and knows how to make people around her happy. Lastly, a woman who has a beautiful soul. Please let me know what’s your definition of a Lady Boss. I would love to hear from you.
How was your weekend? Can we work for 3 days and weekend can be for 5 days? Isn’t it about working smart not working hard. LOL.
Starting the New Week and excited for New opportunities. Today, I am celebrating a brand who celebrates African Heritage and is definitely true to her culture. The dress I am wearing here definitely shows details of the traditional culture in Africa fused with a modern silhouette. In my previous post, the designer was featured in the #MadeinNigeria Series, if you haven’t read it (Click here). See more pictures below.
