It has been snowing continuously here in Calgary, it just makes you not want to step out. Thank God I took this picture way before the snow started. I am so excited about the weekend, I have been taking over the LifeInCalgary page and it has been amazing. I was nervous at first but it’s actually fun. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I am developing my holiday wish-list this weekend hehe:)
It’s so funny every single time I step into Zara or visit the website, damage is always done. They have an amazing collection and before you know it, my shopping cart is full. This bottle green set was no exception to the normal regime lol. At first, when I tried the set, I was unsure because this style is a little bit far from my normal. I styled it and saw the pictures, I was so happy. Two things that caught my attention with this set, the colour and the fringe details on the top. The price point isn’t bad at all.
I have linked this set for all my beautiful ladies that almost killed me on Instagram yesterday because I couldn’t link it on Liketoknowit.
Happy New Month of October!
It is snowing here in Calgary, as I am writing this post, I don’t know if I’m excited about that though. My weekend was amazing, I watched Sound of Music on broadway and it was spectacular. I almost shed a tear at the end of the show, but my tear was too shy to come out hehe. Okay, let me serious, I will recommend you to watch the broadway show. Do you believe I haven’t still seen Lion King on Broadway, I need to asap.
It’s a new week and how do you dress like a boss to work? You want to look confident and ready for any challenge but still look fabulous (Oh yes, without breaking the bank lol). Plaid is definitely a trend this Fall 2017 and I am so for it. I don’t think there are truly any secrets to dressing like a boss, I believe in wearing what makes you feel like a boss! If you work in the professional world, then your style should reflect well put together and tailored outfits but still looking effortless.
A little bit of background here, Iro and Buba is the traditional attire attributed to the Yoruba culture in Nigeria. The Iro is the wrapper and the Buba is the top. As fashion is evolving, the younger generation have found new ways to keep the style modern but still keeping the traditional attire alive. TokaToka created a modern twist to the Iro and Buba while keeping it chic. I love the floral silk print material and how it flows on the body. The modern interpretation of the wrapper is gorgeous; wrap skirt with ruffles. I felt comfortable and chic wearing this outfit.
Thank God it’s Friday. Any plans for the weekend? I have a busy weekend though. Is it me or this month is going by so fast? What’s the fuss about the puff sleeves? I am sold on this trend..From the bell sleeves, formerly considered hippy and Bohemian, now referred to as modern and utterly chic. Bell sleeves add a unique dose of fashion to the simplest outfit. Once you have your statement bell sleeves, keep the rest of your look minimal. The bishop sleeves appear more feminine and soft and balloons out towards the lower arm before gathering into a cuff at the wrist. The flounce sleeves have similar silhouette to bell sleeves, but more subtle and feminine, and best reserved for stand-out dresses and tops. Ruffle sleeves are up my alley because they are loud, fun and attention-loving. Oversized sleeves/ extra-long have dominated the world of streetstye. All these voluminous sleeves are showing serious staying power, stealing the spotlight and making women across the globe feel connected and wanting to own a piece. Just like me (hehe).
This month of May is crazy busy and I can’t complain. I am juggling my life as an event planner and a fashion blogger. My love for burgundy knows no end and I am so eager to share this look with you. I loved how Currie chose this outdoor space for the location shoot, the contrast caught my attention.
