Another day in Pastel heaven and I have to say I was so excited for this look. My week has been really busy. How about yours? Anything interesting? I started off with a night out with Winners and Marshalls. Thank you Winners and Marshalls for hosting me, it was so much fun and you would have seen my insta-stories to see the amazing food I devoured and the bloggers I hung out with. I was surprised with a gift card worth $100 which would be maxed out tomorrow as I have my eyes on a Lucy Paris striped jumpsuit which is perfect for spring.
It has been snowing continuously here in Calgary, it just makes you not want to step out. Thank God I took this picture way before the snow started. I am so excited about the weekend, I have been taking over the LifeInCalgary page and it has been amazing. I was nervous at first but it’s actually fun. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I am developing my holiday wish-list this weekend hehe:)
It’s so funny every single time I step into Zara or visit the website, damage is always done. They have an amazing collection and before you know it, my shopping cart is full. This bottle green set was no exception to the normal regime lol. At first, when I tried the set, I was unsure because this style is a little bit far from my normal. I styled it and saw the pictures, I was so happy. Two things that caught my attention with this set, the colour and the fringe details on the top. The price point isn’t bad at all.
I have linked this set for all my beautiful ladies that almost killed me on Instagram yesterday because I couldn’t link it on Liketoknowit.
It’s almost the weekend here and I am so counting down. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you say tulle? Yes I know, ballerina princess right?. The fashion crowd has definitely put a spin to tulle and makes the trend more sexy than girl. Sporting the look, you either see tulle top patched with florals and rocked with denim. Or you see the trend worn as a dress and layered up. The great thing about buying into this trend is that it’s the perfect piece to switch up as you like.
I am sure you are wondering, how can ever smiling fashion blogger have a bad day? It is possible because we are humans and everyone has bad days. I was doing my morning devotion today and I was listening to Mercyme (Bart) share his testimony and inspiration behind the song “Even If”. He talked about bad days and not encouraged to sing. This encouraged me to give my simple fixes when having a bad day. If you are reading this and you are having a bad day, you can try my simple fixes. Please share your simple fixes, I’m sure I can learn one or two things.
A little bit of background here, Iro and Buba is the traditional attire attributed to the Yoruba culture in Nigeria. The Iro is the wrapper and the Buba is the top. As fashion is evolving, the younger generation have found new ways to keep the style modern but still keeping the traditional attire alive. TokaToka created a modern twist to the Iro and Buba while keeping it chic. I love the floral silk print material and how it flows on the body. The modern interpretation of the wrapper is gorgeous; wrap skirt with ruffles. I felt comfortable and chic wearing this outfit.
